Seventy-Seven Degrees and the Expressway Holds Still

Three twelve and the Golden Glades ramp is closed. The Port Miami Tunnel holding the same. Seventy-seven degrees, few clouds, and the city breathing under its own weight — this is where the transmission starts. Tigerskin's Lied closed that segment with the paradox of minimalism holding more weight than force. Somewhere past five, Vince Watson's Megaton and Underworld's Rez opened the pressure valves — Deep Frequencies pushing energy upward while the sky stayed dark. LCD Soundsystem's Us V Them remix sprawled for eleven minutes and nobody asked it to stop.

By six twenty-six, Passenger 10's Sahara landed in clear-sky warmth, the city finally listening to itself before the commute. The Beloved's Sweet Harmony settled at six forty-eight — that last suspended moment. Joe Carl's Grand Tides sent us out past seven. Somewhere in deep space, a golden record is still spinning. Down here, the vocoder hums and the ramp stays closed and WXLI kept the frequency open through first light.
